About Blossom Academy
Blossom Academy is a licensed ABC Quality early learning center in Lancaster, SC, serving children from six weeks through school age. We use The Creative Curriculum, participate in the USDA Food Program, are a First Steps 4K provider, and run a Spanish Dual Language Immersion program for infants through age three. We are a warm, family-centered center, and we are looking for caring team members who love working with young children.
What You Will Do
- Supervise and care for children in a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom
- Carry out daily lesson plans and activities using The Creative Curriculum
- Support children’s social, emotional, language, and physical development
- Assist with meals, snacks, diapering, toileting, and nap time
- Keep classrooms organized and follow all SC DSS licensing and ABC Quality standards
- Communicate positively with parents and coworkers
- Complete daily reports, attendance, and other required records
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Must pass SC DSS required background checks, including fingerprinting and Central Registry check
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and to sit on the floor, bend, and keep up with active children
- Reliable, patient, and dependable
- Willing to complete required child care training hours
Preferred (Pays More)
- Previous child care or early childhood classroom experience
- CDA credential, early childhood coursework, or a degree in Early Childhood Education
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (Spanish speakers are encouraged to apply)
Schedule
Monday through Friday. The center is open 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and shifts are scheduled within those hours. No nights or weekends.
